Karangan Bahasa Inggeris UPSR biasanya dibahagikan kepada beberapa bahagian. Antaranya ialah Section A (objektif) yang memerlukan murid memilih jawapan terbaik untuk melengkapkan ayat, Section B (subjektif) yang memerlukan murid menulis ayat berdasarkan gambar, serta Information Transfer yang menguji kefahaman murid terhadap maklumat yang diberi.
